OUR FOUNDATION

Our legacy

Founded in 1975 by the late Mr. Mohamed Dawoud, Dawoud & Dawoud Law Firm has spent five decades at the forefront of Egyptian legal practice. Mr. Dawoud was renowned for his mastery of complex litigation and built a distinguished record of favourable judgments and precedents that still shape the Firm's approach today.

Having served as senior counsel and of counsel to some of the region's preeminent law firms, Mr. Dawoud transformed Dawoud & Dawoud Law Firm from a traditional legal practice into a full-service firm distinguished in banking, corporate law, tax, labour and employment, commercial law, intellectual property, technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT), civil and commercial litigation, arbitration, and the enforcement of arbitral awards.

With more than 22 years of experience across a broad spectrum of practice areas, Ms. Dawoud has built on the Firm's 50-year legacy as a trusted adviser on Egyptian law and jurisprudence and on international rules and practice. Under her leadership, the Firm has expanded into international arbitration, complex mergers and acquisitions, FinTech regulation, cross-border transactions, data and digital law, digital assets, and deep technology.
