Mariam El-Tayar is an Associate at Dawoud & Dawoud Law Firm, having joined through the firm's internship programme, and supports the firm's dispute-resolution and arbitration practice with strong research and written advocacy.
She ranked second globally at the International Migration and Refugee Law Moot Court final at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (2026), after placing first in the oral rounds and second in the written submissions. Her submissions addressed state obligations under the 1951 Refugee Convention.
She has also competed as oralist and researcher in the Foreign Direct Investment International Arbitration Moot and as a researcher in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot. She completed courses with the International Institute of Humanitarian Law, Sanremo, and the AUC Center for Migration and Refugee Studies, and trained with the dispute-resolution and corporate teams at Khodeir & Partners.
